ITALIA Chiara Spagnoli Gabardi works as film critic and journalist, covering news about culture and sustainability for international magazines, radio-television networks and virtual reality platforms. She has moderated conferences for institutions such as the Japan Foundation in London and the Triennale Museum in Milan for Fondation Cartier. Chiara collaborates with several film festivals, as artistic consultant and Master of Ceremonies, such as the Innsbruck Nature Film Festival part of the Green Film Network. She also conceived television formats of which she is the author and producer, and worked on American productions such as the Paramount+ docuseries Murder of God's Banker. Her work in media intertwines with her path as a visual artist: her Material Puns, created through upcycling techniques, have been exhibited in four continents. Some works were donated through her ARTivism, to support several social causes. Chiara wrote the collection of poems Silent Women in Dante’s terza rima, giving a voice to 21 female filmmakers of the silent era, which became a Podcast. As a professor of Phenomenology of Contemporary Arts at IED in Milan, she revisits cinema through the ideas of Edmund Husserl, Martin Heidegger, Jean-Paul Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir, and Maurice Merleau-Ponty.
